Windows 7 RC Free download

Microsoft Windows 7 Release Candidate has been officially released for users around the world. This is just a pre-release software, but it is truly a candidate for the final version of Windows 7. This latest release will be available for download at least until July 2009, and the version will expire on June 2010. The Windows 7 RC consists of bug fixes and many changes from the Beta version, and they should work according to the Microsoft notes.

In order to check if the changes and fixes work correctly, Microsoft has designed a program which automatically and anonymously sends information to MS engineers who will determine if they are working correctly.

• Windows 7 RC will expire on June 1, 2010, and as of March 1, 2010, your computer will automatically shut down every 2 hours.
• Windows 7 RC is available for download until July 2009 with unlimited product keys therefore you have enough time to decide if this version is best for you.
• Please backup the data from your PC, and please do NOT run Windows 7 RC as a primary OS.
• If you are running on 32-bit (x86) processors then you need at least 1GHz proc, 1GB of RAM 16GB of HDD space, and DirectX 9.0

• If you are running on 64-bit (x64) processors then you need at least 1GHz proc, 2GB of RAM, 20GB of HDD space, and DirectX 9.0

Windows 7 Release Date Leaked; Coming this October

The Acer Aspire Z5600 PC will come loaded with Windows 7 and you can check some more pictures of the system at Engadget and Gizmodo.

Now an Acer UK executive has confirmed the official release date of Windows 7 saying that the Z5600 PC pre-loaded with Windows 7 will become available on October 23, 2009.

And if you buy a Windows Vista machine in the 30 days prior to the launch of Windows 7, you’ll be eligible for a free upgrade from Vista to Windows 7.

The first release candidate on Windows 7 will be available for download next week though the software is already up on the MSDN and TechNet site
